Signia Unveils Insio Charge&Go CIC IX: First Rechargeable CIC Hearing Aid with Directional Microphone Technology

LYNGE, DENMARK — Signia, a leading hearing aid brand known for advancing speech understanding in group conversations and part of WS Audiology (WSA), has announced the limited global launch of Insio Charge&Go CIC IX, the world’s first rechargeable, custom-made completely-in-canal (CIC) hearing aid with directional microphone technology. While the new device is not yet available in the United States, it is being introduced in select international markets, offering wearers a discreet design that delivers up to 35 hours of battery life and 5X the speech enhancement in noise compared to other single-microphone CIC hearing aids.¹

Yesterday, Signia announced the U.S. rollout of its Insio IX in-the-canal (ITC) and in-the-ear (ITE) custom and Motion Charge&Go IX behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids.

Insio Charge&Go CIC IX leverages Binaural OneMic Directionality 2.0 technology—a proprietary breakthrough that enables both hearing aids to work in sync, wirelessly sharing information to create a directional beam. This ensures wearers get all the benefits of the Integrated Xperience (IX) platform and advanced directionality without sacrificing the tiny, comfortable, and discreet fit they want.

A recent study showed the technology provides a 7 dB improvement in signal-to-noise ratio over competitor CICs, which corresponds to 5X greater speech enhancement in noise.
