EDEN PRAIRIE, MINN –This Better Hearing Month, Starkey is proud to partner with LG to enhance accessibility for people with hearing loss through the power of Auracast™ streaming. With the launch of LG’s 2025 OLED and QNED evo TV, hearing aid wearers can now experience clearer, more immersive sound because of this life-changing technology.
For decades, television audio has been a top concern for hearing aid wearers. Streaming audio from the TV to the hearing aid helps with understanding, listening fatigue, and the fight over the volume control with listening partners. LE Audio and Auracast, the next generation of Bluetooth technology, allow higher fidelity streaming and the ability to stream to multiple users at one time. With Starkey Edge AI hearing technology and LG’s 2025 OLED and QNED evo TV, no additional accessories are needed. Using their Android phone with LE Audio, hearing aid users can stream audio directly to their devices at a personalized volume while their listening partners enjoy their own optimal setting.
“By partnering with LG to integrate Auracast streaming directly into LG’s latest TVs, we are breaking down barriers to accessibility and delivering a seamless, high-fidelity listening experience for hearing aid users,” said Starkey Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Engineering, Achin Bhowmik, PhD.
“Pursuing LG’s ‘Better Life for All’ philosophy, we are committed to providing easy accessibility in entertainment to everyone as well as individuals with disabilities.” said SP Baik, Vice President and Head of TV Product Planning at LG Electronics.
