Hearing Health & Technology Matters (HHTM), an online resource for hearing professionals and consumers with hearing loss, has announced the opening of the public voting period for the 6th annual Hearing Technology Innovator Awards™.

The international awards program honors technological innovation and achievement across the hearing industry, while also supporting nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing hearing health. Since launching in 2020, the program has raised more than $30,000 for hearing health–related charities.

Categories and Awards

For 2025, awards will be conferred in the following eight categories:

  • Hearing Aids
  • Personal Listening Devices
  • Assistive Technology and Software
  • Service Delivery
  • Equipment
  • Auditory Implants
  • Hearing Conservation
  • Therapeutics

Public voting opened on August 13 and will close on August 22, 2025. The entries receiving the most votes in each subcategory will be named the winner.

Following the public vote, the prestigious ‘Innovator of the Year’ title will be awarded by an international panel of independent judges, who will select the top entry from among the winners.

Judging will be based on four criteria:

  • Innovation – Represents novel thinking in the treatment or delivery of hearing care
  • Effectiveness – Addresses limitations of prior technology generations
  • Efficiency – Bridges the gap between hearing care and the end-user
  • Utility – Promotes ease of use for both end-users and practitioners

Cast Your Vote

Each person may cast one vote per category, per day during the voting period.

Winners will be announced in September. Category winners and the Innovator of the Year will be recognized during the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) AuDacity 2025 conference, taking place September 25-28 at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C.
