The Bluetooth connectivity is excellent, with a strong and stable connection for both streaming and calls. The addition of Bluetooth LE and Auracast ensures that the Reach R-Li T is ready for next-generation wireless audio streaming. The hands-free calling on iPhones is a great feature, allowing users to answer calls without touching their phones.
App Features: One of the Best
The Rexton App is one of the most user-friendly hearing aid apps I’ve tested. It offers:
- Customizable sound adjustments
- Directional microphone control
- Mask Mode (enhances speech clarity for mask-wearing situations)
- Battery level monitoring
The intuitive design and responsive controls make it easy for users to fine-tune their hearing aids without visiting a provider.
Build Quality and Durability: Top-Tier
The Rexton Reach R-Li T scored 4.9 out of 5 for build quality, which is among the best in its category.
- IP68-rated (dustproof and waterproof up to 2m for 30 minutes)
- Robust charging case
- ATEX-certified for hazardous environments
This hearing aid is built to withstand tough conditions, making it an excellent option for active users or those in demanding environments. They are available in four colors: rose gold, dark champaign, sand brown, and almost black
Handling and Ease of Use
The Rexton Reach R-Li T scored 4.5 for handling, which indicates that it’s generally easy to use but may require some practice for first-time users. The hearing aid insertion process is straightforward, and once properly set up by a hearing care provider, daily operation is hassle-free with minimal maintenance.
Pro Support: A Strong Offering with Some Caveats
One major advantage of buying from Costco is the included professional support. Users can expect thorough hearing tests, proper fitting, and follow-up care. Additionally, the Rexton App enhances the experience by allowing remote adjustments and feedback sharing with providers.
Putting aside the Rexton brand for a moment (i.e., this applies to all Costco hearing aids), we will caution that Costco hearing care providers are usually very busy. Although they're generally good at what they do, Costco providers often don't have a lot of time for in-depth, personalized service and troubleshooting. If you have a more severe or complex hearing loss or need help with tinnitus relief or other issues, you'll probably be better served by visiting an audiology clinic or independent practice that can devote the necessary time to address your individual needs.
